Music CD: Leila presents "Helwa, Egyptian Bellydance Music". This CD recorded entirely in Egypt with Leila's orchestra is a great CD for dancers who want to build an Egyptian style show. It features classic songs from Om Kalthoum and Abdel Halim Hafez as well as a Shabbi number great with a melaya and a very danceable beledi. There is also a Saidi Cocktail and a beloved Khalegee piece along with a modern tabla solo and more. 9 track in all can be mixed and matched to create the perfect routine. Liner note give short explanations of each song.
Performance DVD: Leila presents "Bint el Balad" This video showcases Leila dancing to her own orchestra, on-stage in Cairo, Egypt. It features 6 different numbers (all with costume changes), three different singers and 7 folkloric dancers in varying numbers. The video includes: Entrance Music, Shabbi, Om Kalthoum, Beledi Tableau (with tabla solo), Nubian, Saidi, Abdel Halim Hafez and clips of Leila at weddings and in live concerts in Egypt.
Music CD: Sukara is the second great volume of Egypian Bellydance music by Leila of Egypt. This CD features classic songs by Om Kalthoum, Abdle Halim Hafez, Warda as well as Saidi folklore, two popular songs of Akmed Adaweya and other wonderful pieces. Sukara was recorded by Leila's orchestra in Cairo, Egypt and features composer Reda Saad (original mergence'), the classic vocal talents of Safaa Farid and introduces Shaabi singer Alaa Khatib. Complete English translations for each song are included in the booklet.
